I'm sure I'm behind as usual, but it's time for the 2015 Books in Translation Reading Challenge signup! The goal is obviously to read translations of books, from any language into the language(s) you're comfortable reading in; they don't have to be in English. You can read any genre and any age range. Crossovers with other challenges are fine. Any format that you choose is also acceptable. The challenge will run from January 1 through December 31, 2014. Looking for suggestions? I have a shelf on GoodReads you can check out. There's also a Listopia list on GoodReads. Linked reviews for the 2014, 2013, and 2012 challenges are a great resource. I am not limiting the challenge to bloggers. You can also link to a review you wrote on another site, such as GoodReads or LibraryThing. Rose City Reader is hosting the 2013 European Reading Challenge again this year and I'm signing up. I intend to do much better on my own Books in Translation Reading Challenge again this year, so that should help me with this challenge as well. Rose City Reader says, The idea is to read books by European authors or books set in European countries (no matter where the author comes from). The books can be anything – novels, short stories, memoirs, travel guides, cookbooks, biography, poetry, or any other genre. You can participate at different levels, but each book must be by a different author and set in a different country – it's supposed to be a tour. I'm signing up at the Honeymooner level--4 European books. I'll track my progress here.
