Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl invited us to share ten summery book covers this week, a topic suggested by Ellie at Curiosity Killed the Bookworm. That seems self-explanatory, so let’s get started!

Fatima’s Great Outdoors by Ambreen Tariq, illustrated by Stevie Lewis

I was surprised that I didn’t have more beachy covers. I try to choose these lists from books I’ve actually reviewed on here, so maybe I just don’t review those for some unconscious reason? Or maybe I just don’t read that many. I guess it does make sense that I lean more toward green trees, fields, and lightning bugs since I’m a mountain girl.
That’s my list! Have you read any of these? Which books did/would you choose? Link up every Tuesday at That Artsy Reader Girl!

What lovely covers. 😀 I love the feelings they evoke.

Fatima’s Great Outdoors looks so cute!
Awesome list!
The Outer Banks evokes memories for me, of times in northern California beaches as well as those on the Atlantic. So different from southern California beach approaches.
The variety to be found in our country’s beaches is unbelievable. We love them all.
I love all the pretty summer dresses on these books!
I didn’t even notice all the summery dresses but you’re right!
The Charles vess immediately jumped out at me. Love his art! 🙂
I thought that might grab your attention!
Love the covers!!! Can feel the summer vibes for sure.
I was surprised how summery my collection was, even without many beachy covers.
Some lovely covers here!
Thanks!
Great choices. Mermaids in the Basement looks amazing and perfectly summery.
I would like to be on that swing in the summer.
I loved Fatima’s Great Outdoors. Camping in the forest always makes me think of summer.
We always camped by the lake when I was a kid, but it was a lake mostly surrounded by forest. Good times.
What pretty covers!
Aren’t they?
Lovely summery covers. These sorts of challenges make me notice the covers of what I read more!
Have a great week!

I’m swayed by pretty covers anyway but I do become more of aware of them after these posts.
A great list! For me growing up, summers meant time at the lake with family. And many of these covers hit that spot for me.

We spent one week at the beach and a lot of weekends camping at the lake every summer when I was a kid.
Love these covers! I’m really interested in Fatima’s Great Outdoors, it sounds great.
Fatima’s Great Outdoors was a fabulous picture book!
Charles Vess’s art for the summer? That’s a great idea, I had no idea about Drawing Down the Moon. The Outer Banks House looks pretty great too, if it is historical fiction, I want to check it out. And Sarah Addison Allen is an old old favorite! Great picks.
The Outer Banks House is historical fiction. Do you know that Sarah Addison Allen has a new book coming out in September? Or maybe late August. I’m so excited!
Summer Rental. That’s a good summerish title and cover. Fun covers. Here is my TTT
I can practically smell the beach where my family always rented a house for one week every summer when I read that title.
