Welcome to my weekly update for March 6, 2022!
I just realized that I never shared the results of the Cybils Awards with you. I was a round one panelist for high school nonfiction. We narrowed the list down from 25 nominations to five finalists. On February 14, the winners in all categories were announced. Punching Bag by Rex Ogle won the high school nonfiction category. Congratulations!
I had to run some errands last week and put them off too late in the day. I realized I was going to get caught in some terrible rush hour/accident traffic. So I drove 10 minutes to Sullivan’s Island for a walk on the beach instead. It was a beautiful evening, if a bit cool. I had to go back to the area the next day and went for another afternoon walk on the beach.

My aunt and uncle are planning to visit us this week so I probably won’t make much progress on any of these books. But we always have a great time with them, laughing, exchanging travel stories, and eating a bit too much. We’re so excited for their visit!

Lovely photos as always, and hope the visit goes/ is going well. And I’m off to check out the blurb for Punching Bag, congratulations to the winner!
Eleanor Oliphant was a pleasant surprise! I hope you like it. Love those beautiful beach pics. Wishing I lived by the beach…
I hope you enjoy your visit!
Walking on the beach is always more favorable than running errands! Great pictures, too.
Glad you enjoyed Beach Music. Pat Conroy is such a lyrical writer. And Eleanor Oliphant is a great audiobook. I listened to it a few years ago and loved it.
Enjoy your visitors!
Those photos are AMAZING! What a beautiful place.
Isn’t being a Cybils judge fun? I love doing it every year.

The beach looks much nicer than a traffic jam. Enjoy your time with your family!
We love a nice visit to the beach. I might have to suggest that one night this week before it gets too dark.
Enjoy your week!
Lovely photo’s, enjoy your visit
Wishing you a great reading week
Having visitors is nice. Ah Sullivan’s Island – southern books set there it makes me think of them. Nice way to avoid traffic jams.
How nice that you live so close to the coast that you can just run over for a beach walk! We are about an hour away from the beach, but we don’t get over there nearly as much as I would like.
Have a great week!
Love your photos. Enjoy your time with family this week.
