Welcome to my weekly update for September 14, 2014! It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I went to a conference for work at Myrtle Beach this weekend. My husband tagged along so he had a good time lounging by the pool and then shopping when the weather got cloudy. I learned a lot and was able to read on the beach a few hours today before we headed home.

Up Next:

I thought I had reserved several audio books at the library, but it looks like I actually only requested one and I’m still two down on the list. I’ll be looking for something else to hold me over.

  1. Sounds like a little fun mixed in with work, that's always nice. I've been curious about the Penderwick books, I think I tried the first one once and got sidetracked. I've heard so many good things though, they must be good.

  2. I liked The Hero and the Crown when I read it as a teen. I think that may be the first fantasy novel I read. It has been years so I can't remember it very well.

I wish I could go somewhere like Myrtle Beach for a work conference! I usually get to go to exciting and exotic locales like Cincinnati and Indianapolis…

  3. Glad you had a nice weekend and that you got some R & R in as well as some work / learning.

I've already mixed up my reading for the week. I had a list then found something I'd forgotten to add and it's published shortly so I just reprioritised!
