Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl invited us to share ten posts about ourselves this week. I usually share some personal details in my Weekly Update posts so if you follow those, you know quite a bit about me. But here are some dedicated posts about me.
Back to Blogging–I wrote this in 2020 after taking a four-year break from blogging. It’s still pretty current. I explain where I was for four years (completely exhausted, stressed out, and burned out) and what I’m doing now (traveling with my husband for his job).
My About Me page–There’s some overlap with my Back to Blogging post but I also linked to some interviews I’ve done that have been posted on other blogs which may or may not be around anymore.
Suicide Prevention–I’ve been fortunate that I’ve never struggled with clinical depression but I lost one of my best friends when he committed suicide in 2015. This post isn’t really about me but it’s an important one that I hope you read. Please, if you ever need help, reach out to someone. 988 is the easy number to remember for the national suicide hotline.
I Can’t Sing–A blogger whom I’ve lost track of used to host a weekly post called “A Bit of Me(me).” I participated a few times.
Getting to Know All about You–All of my posts with an “About Me” tag are from my early blogging days! This one is from Armchair BEA, which looks like it isn’t around any longer. Is BEA (Book Expo America) still around? Armchair BEA started as a way for those of us who couldn’t attend in person to cultivate a sense of community from home.
Positive Real-Life Bookish Experiences
The Importance of Character–Another Armchair BEA post, this one’s about how important characters I like are to me as a reader.
That’s my list! Link up every Tuesday at That Artsy Reader Girl!

These insights are so fun! I don’t write a lot about myself, so I tailored this one to show my reading taste instead. I loved this post topic, it’s a great way to get some views on older posts. Here’s mine: https://www.howdidthatbookend.com/top-content/
Travelling sounds fun. We haven’t done it in a long time.
I like the post about your favourite smell. I would probably have to say the bread aisle in a supermarket is pretty high up on the list or there is a flower that smells like chocolate that I made my mum buy for the garden (chocolate cosmos) 😂
Have a great week!

Ooh, I haven’t encountered a chocolate-scented flower before. That would probably go on my list as well!
Honestly it didn’t disappoint. I was surprised at how chocolatey it smelt 😂
Thank you for our post about suicide prevention. It is important we all tell our truth so others know they are not alone.

I’m always a bit jealous of the way you and your husband get to travel for his job. It’s a great way to see North America, and not just the top tourist areas.

We’re very fortunate. In some places, 3-6 months still isn’t enough time though!
Suicide prevention is a very important topic to highlight. Thank you for bringing attention to it.
And thank you for recognizing its importance.
I’ve never written about it on my blog, but I volunteered for many years on a suicide hotline. It’s an important issue for me.
That must have been emotionally draining but I’m glad you were there for people in crisis. Thank you.
Travelling with your husband for his job must be so interesting!
We are having such a good time exploring the country!
