Um, nothing. I’ve gotten bogged down in Doctor Zhivago. Please tell me that it picks back up after his second stint in the military. Please?
Doctor Zhivago by Boris Pasternak, translated by Max Hayward and Manya Harari
The Wild Trees: A Story of Passion and Daring by Richard Preston
Under the Jolly Roger by L. A. Meyer, read by Katherine Kellgren
From Notting Hill With Love…Actually by Ali McNamara
I said this last week, but I really do expect to finish The Wild Trees, so I’ll be looking for a new nonfiction book. Any recommendations? I will have to start our next book club book, The Dry Grass of August by Anna Jean Mayhew by Tuesday, no matter where I stand with ol’ Doctor Zhivago.

I tried to read Dr. Zhivago when I was in College and just couldn't do it :/ Hope it picks up!

Whatcha readin’ this week @ the Brunette Librarian
Cinder is on my to-read list and From Notting Hill With Love….Actually sounds like an entertaining book. I confess…I love chick flicks! Have a great reading week. hope you knock Doctor Zhivago out, I've never read it either.
Lots of great books there, I've just started Cinder and Doctor Zhivago is one of my all-time favorite novels! Happy reading 🙂
My Monday Round-Up
I love the Larry McMurtry books in that series! I like Corporal Call the best. ;)I think Dead Man's Walk was my favorite.
I love the movie Dr. Zhivago, but I have never read the book. I know I am chumping out. Maybe I will make it a goal to read next winter. 🙂
Have a great wekek!
Doctor Zhivago has been one of those books I have wanted to read for a while but have yet to make any effort to try to read it. Perhaps one day I will get to it even if I have to slowly pick away at it for several weeks.
I just purchased From Notting Hill with Love…Actually – it looks like a fun read!!! I've had Doctor Zhivago on my tbr list ever since seeing the movie Must Love Dogs when John Cusack's character is always watching it.
Have a great week!

I've always wanted to read Dr. Zhivago but have never gotten to it. I should.
Looks like a great week ahead…enjoy! I'm curious about the Holly Black book.
Here's MY MONDAY MEMES POST
Doctor Zhivago is not one of those quick reads but I do hope you enjoy it whilst you read.
I struggled with Doctor Zhivago too. I got through it in the end and I could appreciate the writing but it didn't live up to this big love story for me. Not my favourite Russian classic.
Notting Hill was on TV here the other day and even though I don't like Hugh Grant I do like that movie!
Have a great reading week!

I liked your review of Cinder! I just read Scarlet and I can't wait till next year when Cress is published. This is becoming one of my favorite YA series.
I read the Dry Grass of August last year and thought it was like a combination of The Help and The Secret Life of Bees. Hope you like it.
I grabbed From Notting Hill With Love…Actually recently as well, I need to make some room for it soon! Hope you enjoy it!
So glad you enjoyed Jacky Faber on audio! Katherine Kellgren is Jacky! Have a great week.
