Sheila at One Person’s Journey Through a World of Books wants to know what we’re reading this week.
Reviewed:
Persuasion by Jane Austen
Finished and Reviewed:
Between, Georgia by Joshilyn Jackson
Life of Pi by Yann Martel
Currently Reading:
Cybele’s Secret by Juliet Marillier
Up Next:
I’m not too sure. Possibly Daughter of My People by James Kilgo. Or Mary, Called Magdalene by Margaret George if I’m feeling very ambitious. At 630 pages, that would be another chunkster!
What are you reading this week?

Love Persuasion. I'd like to read Life of Pi now that I've seen the movie.
I have heard good things about Daughter Of My People. Enjoy whatever you choose to be next!
Hi Jen-
I have read Persuasion but not any of the others.
I don't pick too many chunksters! Not my style!:)
Have a great reading week!
I'm so sorry to hear you didn't like The Life of Pi! To be honest, I've heard a ton of good reviews, but never had the slightest inclination to pick it up myself. Maybe that's bad, but it just doesn't interest me.
Well, here's to hoping this week is much better and good luck choosing a book! I'm in the same predicament myself.
I have all of the Austen books. They are wonderful to revisit again and again. I have The Life of Pi but have mixed feelings about the book and haven't managed to pick it up and actually read it.
Great Reads this week. Have fun.
I have heard the word chunkster twice today and think that I may adopt it. I am all about the chunksters! Long live the chunksters!
Have to giggle, I didn't understand the whole subtext of Life of Pi either. I read for enjoyment and if I learn a bit at the same time, cool. I don't want to be searching for deeper hidden meanings. If I wanted to do that, I could just try and analyze what my BF really means when he says that I look nice in that outfit.
You like old movies too? Oh yeah, I am going to go click on the follow button. See ya soon.
i love juliet marillier's sevenwaters book series! i haven't read her newer books though. love to her your thoughts on cybele's secret. have a great reading week!
I love Austen. It sounds like you have a great reading schedule:) Please check out mine:)

The Life of Pi is nearing the top of my TBR pile and I was looking forward to it. As you said there are so many glowing reviews of it out there. I read your review of it and now I'm not so sure. 🙁 I liked the sound of Between, Georgia.
Thanks for stopping by my place
I've been meaning to read Persuasion for years now, but have yet to try it.
Hope you enjoy whatever you end up choosing for this coming week.
I keep thinking about Life of Pi but I think I will pass.
Hope you have a better reading week.
The Life of Pi was.. interesting. Parts of it I enjoyed, and parts.. not so much.
Here is my Monday: thelostentwife.net/2010/03/01/its-monday-what-are-you-reading-10/
Cybele's Secret sounds really good! I had to add it to my list to read. I hope you have a great reading week.
Good reads! It really is fun not knowing what to read next! 🙂 Have fun choosing!
Just had a look at your review for Life of Pi. I didn't like it at all – and I didn't understand it much either.

Stop by to wish you a happy reading week and to thank you for reading my review on Impossible. I really like the book, hope if you get a chance you will too.
Great choices 🙂
I'm planning to read Persuasion myself…
Enjoy your week 🙂
the only Austen works I've ever read was pride and prejudice and also emma..hope to hear your review soon..
happy reading!
I've never read any Austen books but have been watching the Masterpiece Theater productions and love them. I have been seriously considering trying to read one of her books.
Persuasion is one of Austen works that I've never read. So perhaps I'd have to get into this, one of these days. Wonder which one of Austen's works that you think is the best?
