I’ll probably finish Songs of Love & Death this week, but I don’t know what I’ll pick up next. Winter tends to be my season for chunksters, historical fiction, and/or classics. I’m sure it will be something along those lines.
What are you reading this week?

I love big books in the winter too, it makes me feel more warm somehow. Enjoy your week!
Popped over and looked at your top ten. Room and Daughter of Smoke and Bone are great choices.
What did you think of Wolfsbane? I read it over the Christmas holidays and liked most of the stories.

These are all new-to-me books…will have to check them out. I do agree with you that this is the time for longer books – what better than to curl up with a blanket and a cuppa tea and a nice long book!
Have a great week!

I do love long and lush books, with gorgeous settings, when it's cold outside. Enjoy!
Here's MY MONDAY MEMES POST
The Penderwicks sounds like a good book, and Wolfsbane and Mistletoe has an amazing cover. Enjoy reading!
Find out what I'm reading this week!
Loved your piece on Enzo from The Art of Racing in the Rain! I fell in love with him too and although I (like you) am more of a cat person, dogs like Enzo melt my heart. I haven't read Middlesex – have heard so much about it though. I have a copy on my shelf waiting for me 🙂
I have read a lot of good reviews on Middlesex but have not read it yet. Dog On It looks like a fun read. I hope you enjoy your week!

I really like Jeffrey Eugenides (fellow Michigander!)I haven't read Middlesex though, I will have to check out your review.
And I am singing up for the Southern Lit Challenge again, I just need to do it! 🙂
I think winter is the perfect time for classics too. Or epic fantasy like A Game of Thrones or The Lord of the Rings.
I just started reading Les Miserables. I think it will take me awhile to get through it but I did love the movie.
