Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl invited us to share ten book titles that are complete sentences this week. I was afraid it would take me forever to find books for this post! It did take longer than I would have liked but I obviously found enough. Apparently, if you want me to read your book, you should title it “I Am…” because I had to cut out several of those to add a little more variety. And now I’m worried that I may have chosen some that aren’t actual sentences! This was a pressure-filled post for me!
I Should Have Honor by Khalida Brohi
Our Time is Now by Stacey Abrams
I Am One of You Forever by Fred Chappell
Everything is Going to be Great by Rachel Shukert
I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith
Mr. Rosenblum Dreams in English by Natasha Solomons
I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak
The Heart is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers
In Odd We Trust by Dean Koontz and Queenie Chan
You Suck by Christopher Moore
That’s my list! Have you read any of these? Which books did/would you choose? Link up every Tuesday at That Artsy Reader Girl!

Although these are sentences, there is no punctuation. Is there a reason why there is no punctuation? An English teacher told me there should be punctuation when a title on a book cover is a sentence.
Brilliant list. I’ve read “The Messenger” recently, great book, and “The Heart is a Lonely Hunter ages ago.
My TTT.
I’ve not read any of these. I changed the topic this week because I couldn’t come up with many and I was stressing over whether or not they were actual sentences!

I… titles are not very common, so I’m surprised you found so many of them. I’ve read I CAPTURE THE CASTLE, which I remember liking, but it’s been a looonnnggg time and now I can’t remember what it’s about at all! Guess it’s time for a re-read, huh?
Happy TTT!

I’ve read a few of these, but other than I Capture the Castle, I didn’t care for the others. Which were they, you ask? I Am the Messenger, Mr. Rosenblum Dreams in English and The Heart is a Lonely Hunter. I loved the first books in the Odd Thomas series, but haven’t read In Odd We Trust.
Good post. I started, but never finished [library book] Mr. Rosenblum Dreams in English. I loved I Capture the Castle–some really fun titles here.
I Capture the Castle was so good! I know I enjoyed Mr. Rosenblum but I honestly don’t remember much about it.
Fun list! I love how varied the lists are this week. And You Suck is perfect! 😀
My TTT this week
I laughed when I saw that one and knew it had to be my closer!
It was so perfect!
I loved I am the Messenger. Completely different to The Book Thief, but such a great read! I love your list. Very creative!
I went with all the Mary Higgins Clark titles that are complete sentences and I had lots of fun with this one.
TTT – The new Mary Higgins Clark in 10 sentences
Yes, I Am the Messenger was excellent even though it was so different from The Book Thief.
I found quite a few once I started looking, and that surprised me. I got into the spirit of things, and spent way more time on this than I had planned.
These posts almost always take more time than I plan!
Great list! One of these days I need to cross I Capture the Castle off my TBR.
It’s such a good book! I hope you like it when you get around to it.
I haven’t read any of these, but I am loving this TTT topic. I normally think long title aren’t effective, but I like these ones.
I don’t generally care for long titles either.
Great picks- nice job with this one. You Suck cracks me up! 🙂
And yes this one was tough. I ended up with a lot of short sentences lol.
It made me laugh too! I knew I had to close with it as soon as I saw it.
