Weekly Update at Introverted Reader

Welcome to my weekly blog update for September 26, 2016

Holy moly. I’m not sure where this summer’s gone. My last post was on April 7. April 7! That seems crazy. But it’s also about right. That’s when work just exploded on me. I haven’t had time for much of anything because I’ve had so much going on at the office. I also decided that I hated Windows 10 right about then. It really killed my computer. I had to restart it every time I turned it on in order to connect to the internet, my connection was always unstable since I was spending more time staring a spinning loading circle than actually accomplishing anything, and I just gave up for a while. I finally sat down a couple of weeks ago and fought with it and I think I’ve got all the bugs ironed out. Now watch my laptop crash before I even get this posted!

I don’t even know where to start with anything new in my personal life, so let’s just say that we’re busily catching up on season 6 of The Walking Dead. We were starting to think that Netflix was never going to get it! This is our first time watching this season, so we’re trying to get it knocked out before season 7 starts on October 23. I’m not much of a binge watcher since two episodes of anything is my absolute max but we have managed to watch at least one episode a night for the past week. We’re up to episode 8, almost at the halfway mark.

  1. Our library computers (mainly the ones for public use) had some issues after upgrading to Windows 10. There were days when we had to put out of order signs on the public internet computers which made us very popular with the patrons! Thankfully the computers seem to finally be working okay.

I still haven't watched The Walking Dead. Maybe once the show is over I will sit down and binge watch everything 🙂

I watch Game of Thrones and a bunch of shows on the CW like Jane the Virgin and The Flash. Hope you are able to get caught up with TWD before the next season starts.

  2. I hope you are enjoying the Walking Dead and returning to some reading time also. I hope the work front improves too.
Enjoy your books and happy reading!

  3. One of my friends always says, "The Walking Dead isn't about the zombies, it's about the people." I didn't think that made sense until I started watching it. The zombies are almost background noise to all the stuff the survivors are going through. My grandmother and my great-aunt even watch it! Granny says, "I just hide my eyes when it gets too bad." 😀

  4. Welcome back! I'm new to the bloggosphere but I've loved meeting up with fellow book lovers and chatting about books, whether they are in my normal reading range or not.

We haven't start The Walking Dead yet – my hubby isn't sure it's for him but I think we'll try it one day. We're still catching up on a lot of other shows so it won't happen any time soon!

Hope you have a great week and manage to get some reading time in!

  5. I'm a bit of a binge-watcher…you know it's bad when Netflix stops and asks "Are you still watching….?" 😉

  6. Netflix took forever to get TWD but I had already seen it a while back. Same with Flash and Arrow- I've been waiting so long for them to come to Netflix I'm not even excited for them anymore. lol

Hope you have a great week!

  7. Nice to see you back and hope that work is more manageable, and windows 10 behaves. Enjoy some reading time.

  8. Netflix always seems to get the last seasons RIGHT BEFORE the next season premiers. Husband and I are watching Talking Dead after FTWD right now. We love TWD. Hope you have a great week!
