Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl invited us to share the ten most recent additions to our book collections this week. My husband and I stay in our RV while we travel with his job so I try hard not to actually buy books due to space constraints. I decided to list ten recent additions to my TBR (to be read) list instead. I’ve been reading a lot of posts about favorite books of the year, so I also limited myself to one book recommendation per blogger. Some of you have been very bad for my TBR recently!

My first book of 2021 was The Book Collectors, which I enjoyed. I liked the combination of book loving and current events/history.
That was what appealed to me in the synopsis.
i need to pick up flight of the puffin. it has been on my tbr to read to my kids. hope you enjoy your books.

Thanks!
I’ve read FLIGHT OF THE PUFFIN. It teaches some great lessons, but I also felt like the author was trying too hard to get her point across so some parts came off as heavy-handed. It’s still a fast, uplifting read, though. I hope you enjoy it and your other picks!
Happy TTT!

It is disappointing when authors try too hard. I like the sound of “uplifting” though!
I haven’t read any of those books, so I’ll look forward to your reviews and recommendations. I’m still working on blogger recs from a few years ago!
Oh, I am too. My to-read shelf on GR just hit 880! One of my projects for the year is to whittle it down.
So glad my review made you add Rider on the Rain, really a great classic.
I do want to read The Hidden Life of Trees

I’m excited to read both books. Thanks for sharing your review!
I see both you and Debbie got The Hidden Life of Trees. Seems interesting. How lovely that you’ve listed the bloggers who recommended these books to you too!
I hope you get to enjoy all of these real soon.
Take care!

Thanks!
🙂
I got a beautiful edition of Hidden Life of Trees for Christmas, with wonderful photos.
And I had no idea there was Another Year of Wonder. I can’t seem to find that here in the US yet, but I saw it at Book Depository.
I saw that there was an illustrated edition of Hidden Life. How exciting that you have it!
I saw hardcover copies of Another Year of Wonder on Amazon but I didn’t dig too deeply to find out if they’re shipping yet. I was just trying to share the link with my sister to let her know there was another one. I put her in charge of sending me pictures of each entry from my copy of Year of Wonder while I was in Alaska (I didn’t want to pack the chunkster) and she got hooked. She bought her own copy within days of returning mine. 😀
A Long Way to a Small Angry Planet was not my usual genre but I loved it! Hope you do too. These are the books I added to my collection most recently.
I’m not a huge science fiction reader but I do pick it up occasionally. I hope I like it as much as everyone else seems to!
The Hidden Life of Trees is on my TBR, too. My TTT list
I’m happily surprised by how many people are drawn to that book.
